Q&A

Is electroless plating formed uniformly on any shape in general?
Unlike electroplating, it forms uniformly on any shape in principle. However, the film thickness may be slightly smaller than the periphery on places where plating liquid flow it is in contact with is slow due to the shape. In addition, plating may not form on fine blind holes and shapes in which reaction gas tends to accumulate inevitably. Meetings to check the shape on drawing and so forth will be necessary for products with which defects may be expected.
Can we specify the film thickness for alumite?
Yes, it is possible if it is about ±5μm. Meetings may be necessary depending on the material, shape or type of process.
Can we specify the amount of dimensional change after alumite processing?
While we do not guarantee the amount of dimensional change in principle, please ask us first if you need alumite processing on high-precision workpieces and so forth.
